Calcium Silicate Board UV Coating
Traditional heavy-duty building boards with rough surfaces, such as calcium silicate board and glass magnesium board, are first installed inside the building and then coated with paint on the surface for decoration. These boards are inexpensive, and the painting after installation also limits their application. Based on the current market situation, fast installation and customization have become mainstream. Mictech has launched UV paint specifically for calcium silicate board and glass magnesium board, allowing these types of boards to be mass-produced in advance and customized for surface coating. Product Introduction
Calcium silicate board/glass magnesium board special UV curing coating is a UV coating developed for the porous and alkaline substrate characteristics of calcium silicate board and glass magnesium board. The product has excellent substrate sealing and surface decorative properties, and can be completely cured into a film after being coated and irradiated with ultraviolet light for a few seconds. Common Coating Methods, Equipment & Process

5.1 UV Roller Coating
Application
Automatic production line for mass calcium silicate flat boards, ceiling boards and interior partition boards; high cost performance, high output, suitable for regular engineering mass production.
Construction Equipment
Board conveyor line, automatic dust remover, double/triple roller coater, preheating leveling oven, UV curing machine, wide belt sander
Coating Process Steps
Substrate pretreatment: Clean board surface, remove powder and dust, check no corner damage and cracking;
Roller coat special UV sealing primer to seal capillary pores and lock alkali;
Preheat and level at 40~60℃ for 30~60s to improve penetration and leveling;
Low energy UV curing: fully cured at 200~350mJ/cm²;
Light sanding with 400#~600# sandpaper, remove dust and particles;
Roller coat UV intermediate coat or weather-resistant topcoat;
Constant temperature leveling at 60~80℃ for 1~2min to eliminate roller marks and bubbles;
High energy UV deep curing: 600~1000mJ/cm²;
Natural cooling, inspection, stacking and warehousing.

5.2 UV Curtain Coating

Coating Process Steps
Deep powder and dust removal on board surface;
Roller coat sealing primer → preheat leveling → UV curing → light sanding & dedusting;
Curtain coat UV high-gloss weather-resistant topcoat to form continuous uniform paint curtain;
Slow high-temperature leveling at 70~90℃ for 1~3min;
High-energy UV curing: 800~1200mJ/cm²;
Film covering or packaging after cooling.

Coating Process Steps
Fine sanding on board surface, thorough powder and dust removal;
Spray special UV sealing primer for calcium silicate board;
Static leveling at room temperature for 3~5min, then UV curing;
Fine light sanding and secondary thorough dust removal;
Spray UV matte/weather-resistant topcoat by cross spraying method;
Static leveling for 5~10min;
Fully cured by UV, check no pinholes and stickiness;
Static curing for finished products.
